Not sure that this topic would go over too well in many places in Australia. For a start we call it “tuna”, yes only “tuna”, not “tuna fish”. Everyone, at least in Australia, knows it is fish! Some homework is required – the humble tuna (fish) used to be only of the canned variety and appeared in children’s sandwiches, or worse than that, it was relegated to canned pet food for lucky cats. Now of course we have discovered the joys of tuna sashimi style and other wonderful Japanese delicacies. But I do have to admit that for many Australians, the humble tuna sandwich is where their stomach still lies!
